HR Generalist - Client Relations and Technology Focus

BuzzHR is Growing! We are seeking a dynamic and tech-savvy HR Generalist who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and innovation. This role combines traditional HR responsibilities with client relationship management, light sales support, and a strong focus on leveraging technology, AI, and automation to improve HR operations. Key Responsibilities HR Operations and Compliance • Manage day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, and offboarding • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states • Maintain accurate HR documentation and records • Support clients with HR best practices and risk mitigation strategies Client Relations • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, trusted relationships • Understand client needs and provide tailored HR solutions • Deliver a high-touch, responsive client experience • Conduct regular check-ins and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery Technology, AI & Process Improvement • Utilize HR software platforms (HRIS, ATS, payroll systems) efficiently • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows using automation and AI tools • Assist in implementing and optimizing HR tech solutions for clients • Stay current on emerging HR technologies and recommend improvements Business Development & Networking • Support business growth through client retention, referrals, and relationship expansion • Participate in networking events, professional groups, and industry activities • Collaborate with leadership on identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities • Contribute to proposals or presentations as needed • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states • Maintain accurate HR documentation and records • Support clients with HR best practices and risk mitigation strategies Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of HR generalist experience • Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law • Experience working with HR systems and software (HRIS, ATS, payroll platforms) • Familiarity with AI tools and automation in business or HR processes • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a consulting or client-facing HR role • Exposure to startups or multi-state organizations • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) • Sales or business development experience This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking HR environment where technology, AI, and human connection come together.
