The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department and performs HR related duties including but not limited to responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations; policy interpretation and application, performance management and talent management consultation. May carry out additional responsibilities to include employee development initiatives and training.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and customer service focused. This position requires a high level of organization and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. The HR Generalist must be able to interpret and communicate organizational and HR policies. The HR Generalist must be able to ensure compliance with practice standards and foster a culture rich in positive employee satisfaction and engagement within the organization.
Essential Functions
Interprets and provides guidance on HR policies and procedures for employees and management.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR peers to develop solutions, programs and policies.
Assists in providing day-to-day coaching to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application, and ensuring consistent and equitable treatment of employees.
Provides assistance to employees in resolving day-to-day HR related issues.
Lead investigations and provide recommendations to leadership on resolution.
Assist employees with the ADA process and provide guidance to leadership.
Review and maintain job descriptions.
Assist HR peers with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and support audits and reporting requirements.
Assist with policy updates and handbook maintenance.
Promote employee engagement initiatives.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Pay Range
Required Skills & Abilities
Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including employment law & compliance requirements
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
Ability to set high personal goals and work independently
Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks
Ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues
Demonstrated project management skills
Proven acuity in MS office suite, HRIS, internet and data-base management
Required Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field is required.
3+ years of Human Resources experience required; multi-site support and healthcare experience preferred.
2+ years HRIS experience, with Business Intelligence / reporting experience highly preferred.
No sanctions by governing agency state, regional, third party payors, etc.
Up to 10% travel
Compensation:
$65,000-80,000 annually (Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position)
