Role Description
The Project Manager, Population Health and Research, is a professional possessing an educational background and experience in research, public health, health education, and/or health care. The successful candidate is a member of the Research Department and reports to the Manager, Population Health and Research. You will develop and manage professional relationships with health systems including but not limited to academic medical centers, community-based specialty clinics, and federally qualified health centers. In a forward facing role, you will develop project implementation strategies to achieve both grant goals and timelines. The successful candidate will possess the ability to succinctly articulate complex research and quality projects to C-suite medical directors, key opinions leaders, and other senior decision-makers within health systems. The Project Manager will work with external healthcare administrators and legal teams to align on partnership terms and execute contracts. You will track expenses related to healthcare systems participation in quality improvement projects and ensure the timely payment/reimbursement to PRIME’s collaborators.
The Project Manager is accountable to support, maintain and enhance the reputation of PRIME® and foster continued collaborations with healthcare systems, community based practices, and health care providers. You will participate in grant strategy meetings to identify opportunities for future grant proposals and provide feasibility perspectives based on experience in working with healthcare providers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a life science, public health, biology, or health science related major. Social Sciences majors are acceptable as well.
• Masters degree in a related healthcare discipline such as MPH or equivalent degree preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Project coordination and/or management experience preferred.
• Clinical or community based research experience preferred.
• Knowledge about Asana, Microsoft and Google suite products preferred.
Requirements
• Independently develop and execute strategies for assigned research and education projects to align with grant components and timelines.
• Develop and maintain working collaborations with health systems including but not limited to academic medical centers, community-based specialty clinics, and federally qualified health centers.
• Interface with external healthcare administrators and legal teams to align on partnership terms and execute contracts.
• Develop vendors profiles with internal systems.
• Manage the project timelines through Asana project management software and proactively identify potential delays in project deliverables.
• Proficiency with internal financial systems for financial tracking to ensure projects stay within grant allocations.
• Participate in calls within and outside of working hours as required to accommodate health system availability for research and quality improvement collaborations.
• Participate in the planning of real-world data collection for quality and clinical measures in research-based and quality improvement educational projects.
• Facilitate health system data collection including chart abstraction and data retrieval from electronic and manual sources.
• Assist in the planning and execution of research designs, protocols, data analysis, and outcomes reporting.
• Plan, develop, and coordinate program logistics for live and virtual research audit and feedback programs.
• Communicate to the Manager of Population Health and Research any urgent updates or deviations to the program plan.
• Other duties as assigned such as outcomes reports and/or system recruitment support.
• Proactively identify risks for project implementation delays and bring potential solutions to PRIME leadership.
• Make informed recommendations on clinic partners to expedite project implementation and collaborate professionally with team members in charge of recruitment for their assigned projects.
