Head of Global Clean Energy Sales

Background  Firetrace International is a global leader in fire suppression solutions, specializing in automatic fire detection and suppression systems that protect people, assets, and critical infrastructure.    As part of Halma plc, a FTSE 100 global group of life-saving technology companies, we are united by a shared purpose: solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges—from clean energy transition to water security and safety.  At Firetrace, we are proud to be building a safer, more sustainable world—together.   Job Purpose  We are seeking a globally minded, mission-driven leader to accelerate our growth in clean energy while shaping and scaling our global business development strategy.    This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and leadership—responsible for expanding into new markets, building high-impact partnerships, and leading a high-performing, distributed team.  You will play a critical role in strengthening Firetrace’s position across the global energy ecosystem, partnering with utilities, OEMs, and key players driving the energy transition.    Key Responsibilities:  Drive Global Growth  Define and execute a forward-looking global business development strategy  Build and scale a high-quality international pipeline  Secure strategic partnerships across utilities, OEMs, and energy value chains  Serve as a senior external representative with key customers and partners  Lead Clean Energy Expansion  Own the global go-to-market strategy for the clean energy segment  Identify and capitalize on emerging technologies and energy transition trends  Translate market opportunities into measurable revenue and share growth  Build and Lead a World-Class Team  Lead, coach, and inspire a geographically dispersed sales organization  Establish clear goals, rhythms, and accountability  Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement  Elevate Commercial Excellence  Implement scalable, repeatable business development processes  Standardize tools, playbooks, and pipeline management practices  Enable broader sales teams to improve deal quality and execution  Shape Strategy and Alignment  Partner with executive leadership to drive growth and market expansion  Align business development with sales execution and company priorities  Champion cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated solutions      Required Skills & Qualifications:  Proven success in senior business development, commercial strategy, or growth leadership roles   Experience working with utilities, energy companies, OEMs, or energy supply chain partners   Strong understanding of global energy markets, particularly clean energy and energy transition   Track record of scaling commercial processes in growing or evolving organizations   Experience leading global or multi-region teams    Education and Experience:   Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy business development.  Demonstrated success leading and growing high-performing sales teams    Leadership Profile  Low ego, high impact: Results-driven, team-first mindset  Collaborative: Builds trust across teams, partners, and regions  Purpose-driven: You are motivated by advancing people, planet, and profit  Operationally disciplined: Brings structure, clarity, and execution rigor    Success Measures  Growth and quality of global pipeline and partnerships  Revenue and expansion of the clean energy segment  Adoption and effectiveness of BD processes  Team engagement and performance  Strength of Firetrace’s position within the global energy ecosystem    What Sets You Apart  You thrive in complexity and see opportunity where others see ambiguity.
