Overview
We’re looking for a Google Shopping Ads specialist to set up and structure product-based campaigns for our online certification courses at Recademics.com.
Each course is sold by state and category (boating, hunting, etc.), and we want a dedicated product listing ad for each variation.
Examples:
Texas Boater Safety Course
Ohio Hunter Education Course
Florida Boating License Course
Pennsylvania Boater Safety Course
We will not use Performance Max campaigns at this stage. Our strategy prioritizes Search and Shopping campaigns to maintain clear query-level control, transparent attribution, and precise alignment between keyword intent and landing pages. This ensures our highest-intent queries (e.g., state-specific course searches) are handled with exact-match Search campaigns, avoiding the loss of visibility and control that comes with PMax’s blended, black-box optimization.
We may require dedicated landing pages per course/state and campaign to ensure full alignment with Google Shopping feed requirements (including price consistency and product specificity) and to maximize conversion performance. Each product listing should map cleanly to a highly relevant page that reflects the exact course, state, and pricing shown in the ad.
Scope of Work
Set up Google Merchant Center (or audit + fix if already set up)
Build and optimize a product feed covering all course/state combinations
Create individual product listings per course/state (not grouped broadly)
Ensure proper titles, descriptions, GTIN/identifier handling (likely custom products)
Configure Google Ads Shopping campaigns
Structure campaigns logically (by state, category, or performance strategy)
Implement conversion tracking (GA4 + Google Ads)
Ensure compliance with Google Shopping policies (education/digital products)
Key Requirements
Each course/state must be its own product (no generic bundling)
Product titles should be high intent + keyword aligned
Example: “Texas Boater Safety Course – Official Certification”
Clean, scalable feed structure (we have many states and will continue adding more)
Ability to handle digital products (no shipping, no physical inventory)
Proper use of:
Custom labels (for bidding/segmentation)
Product types (Boating, Hunting, etc.)
State-level segmentation
Deliverables
Fully functional Merchant Center account + approved product feed
Live Shopping campaigns ready to scale
Clean campaign structure with clear logic
Documentation or walkthrough of setup
Recommendations for ongoing optimization
Nice to Have
Experience with education or certification products
Experience working with state-specific or highly segmented catalogs
Ability to advise on Performance Max vs Standard Shopping
Feed automation experience (if we scale SKUs significantly)
