Job Description:
• Provide telephone consultation to clients and referring health care providers about genetic testing provided by ARUP.
• Coordinate appropriate use, priority of use, and interpretation of genetic/genomic tests and any ancillary testing used for patient management.
• Assist medical directors with interpreting complex genetic/genomic test results.
• Develop marketing materials and provide content for the ARUP website.
• Provide education about genetic diseases, testing options, and the role of genetic counselors in a laboratory.
Requirements:
• Master's Degree or better in Genetic Counseling
• State of Utah Genetic Counseling License
• American Board of Genetic Counseling Certification OR American Board of Medical Genetics Certification in Genetic Counseling (CGC)
• Five (5) years of experience as a genetic counselor (preferred)
• Experience as a genetic counselor in a clinical or laboratory setting (preferred)
