Freelance Full Stack Developer

Responsibilities: • Turning loosely defined business problems into concrete technical solutions. • Designing and building backend and full-stack services using TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js . • Creating AI-powered workflow automation using frameworks like Mastra, LangChain, or similar. • Integrating and experimenting with leading LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and routing platforms such as OpenRouter. • Building observability and evaluation into AI systems (LangSmith, Langfuse, LangWatch, or custom tooling). • Deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP. • Working with serverless architectures (e. g. AWS Lambda). • Managing infrastructure via infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation; Terraform a plus). • Setting up and improving CI/CD pipelines. • Prototyping quickly, shipping iteratively, and refining based on real customer and stakeholder feedback. • Collaborating directly with the CTO on architecture, AI strategy, and long-term technical direction. • Developing a working understanding of insurance workflows and translating domain complexity into scalable systems. Requirements: • Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web/backend frameworks. • Hands-on experience with Next.js, serverless systems, and cloud-native development. • Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Mastra, or equivalents). • Practical experience working with modern LLMs and multi-model setups. • Solid knowledge of AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform. • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment workflows. • Proven ability to understand business context quickly. • Comfort working from ambiguous, high-level requirements. • Strong product and customer intuition, you think in terms of users, workflows, and outcomes. • Ability to turn minimal direction into clear technical plans, fast prototypes production-ready systems. • High ownership and reliability in a remote, async-first setup. • Comfortable using AI tools daily as part of your development and thinking process. • Clear, structured communication in English (German is a huge plus; all the test data is in German).
