Job Title: Freelance Documentary Videographer – Senior Care Facilities (Talking Head Interviews) About CareScout: CareScout is on a mission to help families navigate the journey of aging with clarity, confidence, and compassion. We connect people with quality, person-centered care. And we want your help telling the human stories behind that care. Project Overview: We're looking for an experienced documentary-style videographer to visit senior care and nursing facilities across [region/markets TBD] and capture authentic, unscripted interview footage with residents. This content will be used across social media and potentially in broadcast TV spots. (Footage rights and participant waivers will be agreed upon beforehand). The ideal candidate knows how to walk into a room, earn someone's trust in five minutes, and get them talking like the camera isn't there. Scope of Work: - Travel to assigned senior care facilities and conduct on-camera interviews with residents - Capture authentic, emotionally resonant talking-head footage — funny, warm, insightful, honest - Work from CareScout-provided prompts and concepts while staying flexible and responsive in the moment -IMPORTANT: Acquire signatures of consent on provided release forms. - Conduct interviews independently with minimal on-site supervision - Deliver organized, properly labeled raw footage files per project specs - Flag standout moments and best clips upon delivery Requirements: - Proven experience in documentary, editorial, or unscripted interview-style video production - Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to capture authentic, emotionally compelling interviews - Excellent interpersonal skills — you are warm, patient, and genuinely curious about people - Ability to think on your feet and keep an interview alive when it stalls - Professional camera and audio equipment (please specify in application) - Comfortable working with elderly subjects, including those with varying mobility or cognitive conditions - Reliable transportation Nice to Have: - Experience filming in healthcare or senior living environments - Background in journalism or oral history work - Ability to do light on-site editing or selects review Timeline: Ongoing / rolling project.
