Job Description: The Forward Deployed Services Specialist plays a critical role in Amplify’s evolving customer experience model, providing consultation and services that lead to deep product adoption and impact, including program customization/contextualization; the development of additional assets and reports; and direct-to-leader and teacher knowledge and skills development. This role is part of a pioneering group of talented team members who will set the stage for Amplify's long-term customer engagement model. Individuals in this role will be creative, entrepreneurial, and reflective– identifying and codifying successful practices in real time.   This role will be strategically embedded directly within schools and districts, engaging throughout the school year and during summer planning, helping educators and leaders reflect on their practices and supporting their effective use of Amplify's platform and instructional materials. You will serve as a consultant, coach, and content developer: partnering with curiosity, developing people, customizing content, and continuously reflecting.   The Forward Deployed Services Specialist partners closely with educators, instructional leaders, and internal teams to bridge the gap between product design and classroom practice. This role is highly collaborative and works across Customer Experience, Product, Sales, and Design to both support customers and inform product design, ensuring our Amplify products best meet customer needs.   Essential Responsibilities:   1. Consultation, Coaching, and Customization Provide high-impact, on-site and virtual consultation and support, ensuring successful initial implementation, continuous adoption refinement, and ongoing program customization across schools and districts. Serve as a deep product and platform expert, delivering high-impact, embedded instructional coaching and modeling of effective use of digital tools to educators and administrators on how to effectively use, customize, and integrate Amplify tools into their instructional practice. Partner directly with instructional and school leaders to identify implementation needs, troubleshoot challenges, and develop tailored supports that drive strong outcomes. Deploy into customer environments during critical moments (e.g., back-to-school, mid-year implementation) to provide high-impact, hands-on support. Maintain strong ownership and follow-through across all customer engagements, proactively tracking commitments and leveraging systems to communicate progress and prioritize support across multiple schools and priorities. Exercise strong professional judgment to navigate complex customer contexts, consistently modeling effective usage, balancing hands-on support with capacity-building, and serving as a trusted Amplify ambassador.   2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Iteration Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Design teams to align on customer needs, proactively sharing key learning, customer insights, and documented feature requests/bugs to inform product iteration and continuous improvement. Test and iterate on program implementation in real time, gathering feedback from educators and translating it into actionable insights for internal teams, specifically elevating learning from pilot programs to inform future strategy and product development. Contribute to continuous improvement of implementation strategies, helping define best practices and scalable approaches for customer support.   3. Developing Scalable Resources & General Support Design and develop customized resources (e.g., tailored guides, checklists, instructional videos) and communication materials that align to Amplify programs’ pedagogical approach and support effective implementation in bespoke, high-touch ways. Identify and codify the highest-leverage workflow transformations within the Forward Deployed Services team's day-to-day work by building a deep understanding of internal processes, workflows, and outputs Mentor and coach peer team members on best practices for high-impact consultation, technical solutions development, and effective cross-functional collaboration, helping to build the team's collective expertise and capacity. Develop custom tools, agents, automations, and skills that streamline and enhance operational effectiveness Recognize and document successful intervention patterns across your cohort to systematically scale best practices and ensure tools built for one specialist are reusable for their peers Support the development of asynchronous and other teacher support development efforts Perform other duties as assigned   Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 8+ years of related professional experience, including K–12 education, educational technology, or curriculum implementation 3+ years of experience working directly with schools or districts in a coaching, training, or implementation support capacity Demonstrated expertise in instructional practices and/or curriculum implementation (Math or Literacy preferred) Familiarity with the Amplify platform and experience in curriculum development, having the ability to create and modify content Strong ability to lead professional learning and coach educators on instructional tools and platforms Experience troubleshooting and supporting technology-enabled instructional products Curiosity about and willingness to leverage AI tools in overall tooling and development Proven capacity for execution, prioritization, and maintaining strong organization and follow-up across multiple schools, stakeholders, and priorities. Ability to travel up to 50–70% of the time, including extended on-site district engagements with customers Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with both educators and district leaders Ability to work independently in dynamic environments while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration   Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Amplify programs Background in instructional coaching, district leadership, or change management Experience supporting district implementations or system-wide rollouts Ability to analyze implementation data and translate insights into actionable recommendations Experience creating educator-facing resources, training materials, and/or implementation guides Amplify is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
