The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is a customer-facing technical expert who supports the full sales cycle—from early design discussions to post-implementation success. This role works closely with customers to understand their applications, recommend the right solutions, and ensure successful product integration. You will act as a trusted advisor to both customers and the sales team, helping drive design wins and long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
Provide pre-sales technical support by understanding customer requirements, recommending solutions, and supporting proposals, design reviews, and technical presentations
Partner with sales to influence product selection and secure new business opportunities
Deliver post-sales support by resolving technical issues, supporting integration, and assisting with testing, calibration, and validation
Troubleshoot customer challenges both remotely and on-site as needed
Share customer feedback with engineering and product teams to support product improvements and roadmap decisions
Document applications, solutions, and lessons learned to build internal knowledge and support future opportunities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
Experience in a Field Application Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role within an electro-mechanical or component manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of customer applications and product integration
Experience with force sensing technologies is preferred
Hands-on skills such as strain gage bonding or soldering are an advantage
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Organized, self-disciplined, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer support
Fluent in written and spoken English

Base Salary: $105,000 - $130,000
