Apply Now
At arenaflex, we are dedicated to raising awareness of apostasy and supporting those who have left a religion in the UK. Our Faith to Faithless service is a vital part of this mission, providing a platform for apostate voices to be heard and raising awareness of the issues they face. We are now expanding our volunteer team to meet the growing demand for our services, and we are seeking experienced and compassionate individuals to join us as Safety Chat Facilitators. **About arenaflex and the Faith to Faithless Service** arenaflex is a leading organization in the UK, working tirelessly to support those who have left a religion and raise awareness of the issues they face. Our Faith to Faithless service is led by apostates themselves, who have knowledge and experiences of apostate communities facing serious and systemic issues. These issues range from emotional and physical abuse from family members, friends, and peers in their community through homelessness, shunning, ‘honour-based’ abuse and killings, and systemic failures by statutory organizations to support apostates. Our work has brought us into contact with tens of thousands of apostates, and we have been able to directly support over a thousand since the dedicated programme started. We provide a platform for apostate voices to be heard, raise awareness of the issues they face, and support them through facilitated peer support groups and other ‘meet-ups’. We also train statutory and support organizations to better understand the issues apostates face and the sorts of policy and practice implications this might have for the organization. **The Role of a Safety Chat Facilitator** As a Safety Chat Facilitator, you will be the first point of contact for all of our service users, and you may well be the first person that an ex-religious person has ever spoken to about leaving religion.
