**Job Summary**
As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Transplant, you will play a critical role in helping others on the path to better health. You will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. You will work in a high-production environment where you will need to multitask between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation, problem-solving abilities, strong written and oral communication, and strong computer skills.
**Responsibilities**
* Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
* Make outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
* Work in a high-production environment where you will need to multitask between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and prescriptions
* Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to resolve prescription issues
* Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on new medications, treatments, and technologies
* Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
**Requirements**
* 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
* Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
* Proficiency in computer software and systems, including electronic medical records and pharmacy management systems
* COVID-19 vaccination requirement (with approved reasonable accommodation)
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Specialty pharmacy experience
* Call center experience
* Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues

**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $17.00
Maximum: $27.90
Please note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
