About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools that serve Amazon B2B Cobrand Clients. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that integrate cutting-edge technologies, AWS services, and large-scale back-end services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain large-scale software applications and tools that drive Amazon B2B Cobrand Payments
- Collaborate with innovative and technical teams to identify and solve complex challenges, ignoring perceived limitations and diving deep into problems
- Deliver unique customer experiences by creating solutions that integrate innovative technologies, AWS services, and large-scale back-end services
- Work with teams across Amazon to integrate and streamline existing products, leveraging Amazon's scale and reach
- Utilize your technical expertise and exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to build and solve complex and ambiguous problems
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to other SDEs in the team, ensuring high-quality bar, design reviews, and robust engineering practices
- Drive automated testing, code coverage, and full CI/CD pipelines to ensure the highest quality and reliability

As a Software Development Engineer on our B2B Cobrand Payments team, you'll have the opportunity to directly impact our customers and enhance their satisfaction by working on various aspects like customer acquisition, engagement, and payment method enablement and workflows. You'll be exposed to the latest technologies and be expected to adhere to the highest coding and security standards. You'll also contribute to the product and technical roadmap, shaping the future direction of our offerings.

Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-temporary, professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-entry-level design or engineering experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one programming language
- Deep knowledge of professional programming practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build cycles, testing, and operations
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build cycles, testing, and operations
- Four-year college education in Computer Science or equivalent
