**Responsibilities**
As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database
* Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
* Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database
* Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications
* Following data program security practices and procedures at all times
* Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily
* Performing other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required
* Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations
* Performing other duties as assigned by the team leader
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:
* **Education and/or Experience**: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 6 months related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in a medical office is preferred but not required.
* **Technical Skills**: You must be tech-savvy and detail-oriented, with complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone systems. You should also be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
* **Typing Skills**: You must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M.
* **Soft Skills**: You should demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, look for ways to improve and promote quality, and monitor your own work to ensure quality is met. You must also possess exceptional communication skills, conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed.
