As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's passionate about delivering exceptional service and making a positive impact in the lives of our policyholders. **Primary Responsibilities** As a Remote Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include: * Handling high-volume inbound calls from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties, ensuring that every interaction is handled promptly and professionally. * Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and updates. * Ensuring customer needs are met on every interaction, whether through phone, email, written correspondence, or other channels. * Maintaining department standards for the number of calls, average handle time, and time management, consistently delivering high-quality service. * Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support to our policyholders. **Requirements** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * At least 1 year of work experience in a high-volume contact center environment, with a strong background in customer service and communication. * 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent. * Strong remote experience, with a reliable internet connection (minimum 20 UPLOAD & 20 DOWNLOAD speed) and a hard-wired connection. * A smartphone to access VPN and stay connected with our team. * Basic computer knowledge and skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and keyboard functions. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. * Minimum typing requirement of 30 wpm, with excellent organization and time management skills. * Ability to work in a quiet and professional workplace, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, we prefer candidates with: * Insurance industry experience, with a strong understanding of policy information and procedures. * A quiet and professional workspace, with minimal distractions and interruptions. * A fire extinguisher in their home, for safety reasons. * Strong typing skills, with the ability to meet or exceed our minimum typing requirement. **Training and Onboarding** As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll undergo a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role. Our training program includes: * 2-3 weeks of in-depth training, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST. * A focus on first contact resolution and high customer satisfaction, with a strong emphasis on operational standards. * Ongoing support and coaching, to ensure your success and growth in the role. **Schedule and Availability** As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be required to work a 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday, with no weekend shifts unless overtime is presented. You'll need to be available to work between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm CST, with flexibility to adjust your schedule as needed. **Equipment and Technology** As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll need to have a smartphone to access VPN and stay connected with our team.
