As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Specialist – Fleet Engineering Support, you'll be an integral part of our Fleet Engineering Team within the Technical Operations Division. This team is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on transport category aircraft, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
**What You'll Do**
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing Engineering support on various aircraft systems and improving associated reliability through project management. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Staying informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility
* Assessing daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
* Investigating aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determining appropriate corrective actions
* Providing Engineering support as required for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components in order to restore serviceable status
* Responding to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems
* Developing action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities
* Coordinating with other airline departments, as required, to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions
* Preparing Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions which provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
**Essential Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A strong background in data entry, with experience working in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, aviation, business) preferred
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
* Experience working in the aviation industry, particularly in a technical or engineering role
* Familiarity with aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
* Certification in a related field (e.g., A&P, IA)
* Experience with project management software and tools
* Strong knowledge of data analysis and reporting techniques
