**About arenaflex's Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Estimating Team**
The GM&NS Estimating team is responsible for driving the single largest source of arenaflex's revenue: Merchant Discount Income. Our team works closely with numerous colleagues to determine the optimal pricing that enables merchant acceptance of arenaflex while striving to improve inclusion and merchant satisfaction. By leveraging client-driven pricing standards, more adaptable pricing engineering, and creative pricing solutions, we drive GM&NS income and profit growth.
**About the Monetary Analyst of Planning and Research – Canada**
The Monetary Analyst of Planning and Research – Canada is responsible for determining and reporting merchant discount income. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact numerous organizations and segments by aligning the association's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant development, essential for the strength of our business.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income track month-to-month execution against forecast and identify drivers of change.
* Develop vendor discount income scorecards for the Canada region.
* Drive normalization and process improvement among the different local pricing groups for all reporting and determining related activities.
* Support external reviews including investigating issues found, reaching the regional pricing groups that handle the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing goals.
* Perform impromptu data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights.
**Essential Qualifications:**
* 2+ years' experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other finance-related roles.
* Four-year college education required; strongly preferred in finance/Accounting/Business.
* High proficiency with Excel is required.
* Strong attention to detail and organization.
* Strong aptitude for analysis; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from large financial datasets. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
* A strong relationship with management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives.
* Strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a high-speed, dynamic team environment, which places an emphasis on driving results.
* An innovative thinker who will challenge conventional approaches to doing things and develop new ways to tackle old challenges.
* Strong project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution.
* Enthusiastic focus on the client; demonstrated willingness to understand and address client needs and pain points.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests and priorities as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
* Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
