**Job Summary**
As a Senior Software Engineer on our Data Platform team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance data systems that support arenaflex's global operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, design solutions, and deploy scalable data systems that meet our business requirements. Your expertise in data engineering, software development, and data architecture will be essential in helping us achieve our goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, build, and maintain high-performance data systems that support arenaflex's global operations
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, design solutions, and deploy scalable data systems
* Develop and deploy data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that support our business needs
* Work with data scientists and analysts to design and implement data models, data visualizations, and data analytics solutions
* Develop and maintain data architecture documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data governance policies
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data systems
* Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement new technologies and tools to improve data engineering and data science capabilities
* Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on data engineering best practices
**Requirements**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 4-6 years of experience in software development, data engineering, and data architecture
* Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Go, Python
* Experience with data engineering tools and technologies, including Apache Kafka, Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink
* Experience with data warehousing and data lake technologies, including Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, and Apache Parquet
* Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data security principles
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 6-8 years of experience in software development, data engineering, and data architecture
* Experience with cloud-based data engineering tools and technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
* Experience with data science tools and technologies, including Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and Apache Mahout
* Experience with data visualization tools and technologies, including Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js
* Experience with DevOps tools and technologies, including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
