Job Summary
As a Senior Data Scientist at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading analysis, strategy, and decision-making across different groups and levels. You will work with various stakeholders to uncover insights and transform them into actionable recommendations, driving business decisions for the whole organization. This is a full-time remote job opportunity, and we offer a competitive salary of $28 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize quantitative analysis and data presentation to see past the numbers and understand what drives our business.
- Build full-cycle analysis trials, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools.
- Work with and mentor junior professionals on how to use advanced strategies and address challenges.
- Produce recommendations and use statistical procedures and hypothesis testing to validate your findings.
- Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics, client behaviors, and long-term trends.
- Identify and measure switches to help move fundamental metrics and make proposals.
- Work in reverse from understanding and measuring issues to ideating solutions.
- Report against our objectives by identifying key metrics and building leader-facing dashboards to track progress.
- Collaborate with engineering to implement, report, validate, and monitor our logging.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, consulting, or a related field.
- Experience working with pipeline optimization, client segmentation, peer analysis, time series analysis, regression models, and more.
- Mastery of SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages like Matlab, R, SAS, or Python.
- Proficiency in at least one analysis and visualization tool (e.g., Chartio, Looker, Tableau).
- The ability to take ambiguous issues and resolve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way.
