**A Day in the Life of a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex**
As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be part of a collaborative team that's passionate about creating innovative products that make a difference in people's lives. Your day will be filled with a mix of creative and technical challenges, from ideation to prototyping and testing. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Modern Design, Sound Designing, Packaging, Testing, Equipment, Projects, and Marketing, to bring your ideas to life.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop innovative product designs that meet arenaflex's high standards for quality, performance, and aesthetics.
* Create, model, and analyze new product designs using 3D CAD software and other design tools.
* Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design reviews to ensure that products meet arenaflex's design and quality standards.
* Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure that everyone is aligned and excited about the product vision.
* Produce detailed specifications and drawings to communicate design intent and requirements to internal teams and external vendors.
* Work with internal teams and external vendors to optimize product design for manufacturability, cost, and performance.
* Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Approve and describe product designs through various iterations, ensuring that they meet arenaflex's design and quality standards.
* Foster deep technical expertise by taking product design from concept to production.
* Ensure that products meet corrective and functional requirements to deliver top-tier experiences for our customers.
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in product design engineering, with a focus on home and music experiences.
* Strong understanding of design principles, including mechanical design, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
* Experience with 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
* Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and other design optimization techniques.
* Experience with failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs).
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience with product development from concept to production.
* Knowledge of computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools, such as finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
* Experience with product testing and validation, including testing protocols and data analysis.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards for product safety and performance.
* Experience with design for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
