Our Information and Investigation group for arenaflex Web-based features (DSS), a section under the arenaflex Diversion and ESPN Innovation (DE&ET), is searching for a Lead Data Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of our data products and data warehouses, focusing on Commitment and Maintenance Examination and Information Science. You will be responsible for planning and developing versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid). Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flash, and Wind stream, and languages include Python, Scala.

Key Responsibilities

• Add to the plan and development of our data products and data warehouses around Commitment and Maintenance Examination and Information Science
• Plan and develop versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
• Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops
• Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
• Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance
• Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligation to our clients (Data Science, Data Examination groups)
• Be a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practice to ensure safety and cycle enhancements for your team

Essential Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Data Engineer with a strong technical foundation and passion for diving deeper into Big Data to develop cutting-edge Data Solutions. The ideal candidate will have:

• Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
• Involved experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
• Solid programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
• Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
• Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Wind current) and writing and maintaining Data Pipelines
• Solid knowledge of Data Modeling strategies and Data Warehousing standard systems and practices
• Aquainted with Scrum and Agile approaches

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Experience with Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
• Strong problem-solving skills with solid analytical and relational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams
