**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team on a remote basis, working 3rd shift from 11pm to 7am. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for performing approvals of consumer loans, making payment arrangements, and helping customers with any questions. You'll work closely with potential clients, our financial institution, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and timely loan approvals.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
As a Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
* Making outbound and receiving inbound calls to communicate with customers and potential clients
* Consistently and accurately documenting all information pertaining to accounts, including loan applications and payment arrangements
* Using basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions
* Speaking clearly, concisely, and effectively to customers, listening to and understanding information and ideas as presented verbally
* Maintaining a professional manner, showing sensitivity, tact, and professionalism when speaking to customers
* Following written and/or verbal instructions, working within the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
* Processing card payments accurately and efficiently
* Performing the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems
* Reviewing applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan and making recommendations accordingly
* Following up with customers to clarify important points and finalize loan details
* Remaining up-to-date regarding lending and other financial services, including new products and services
* Creating and renewing records, identifying customer needs, and exploring all options available to customers
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, adapting quickly to changing company needs
* Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously
* Meeting monthly individual goals as set by management
**Required Skills**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding experiences to our clients
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
* Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure, navigating tense situations with ease
* Proficient use of technology, including computers, software applications, and phone systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
**Preferred Education and/or Experience**
While a minimum of a High School diploma/GED is required, we prefer candidates with:
* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a financial institution or related field
* Strong knowledge of lending and financial services, including new products and services
* Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
**Technical Skills**
You'll need to be proficient in:
* MS: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Internet and cloud-based storage, including Google Drive or similar platforms
* Familiarity with CRM software and other customer service tools
**Working Conditions / Physical Demands**
As a remote Customer Service Representative, you'll need to be able to:
* Sit for long periods of time, talking and listening constantly
* Adapt to a 3rd shift schedule, working from 11pm to 7am
* Work independently, with minimal supervision, in a fully remote environment
