**About the Role**
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our DDSI Information Designing (DE) team, responsible for developing and sustaining data-driven solutions for our Media business. As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, data sets, and related infrastructure to support business intelligence, analytics, and science-driven decision-making.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues, to develop and sustain data-driven solutions for various projects and initiatives
* Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, data sets, and related infrastructure to support business intelligence, analytics, and science-driven decision-making
* Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, data approval processes, and data set design/tables/views
* Deliver datasets as input to science models and visualizations
* Work with various data sources, including relational databases, cloud-based data warehouses, and big data platforms
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and reliability
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and maintain data-driven solutions
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data pipeline code
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Strong understanding of data set design and data modeling
* Experience with automated workflow schedulers and code organization/development practices
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with large datasets and big data platforms
* Proficiency in cloud design and product contributions, ideally AWS
* Experience with source control tools, such as GitLab or GitHub
* Experience with Docker and containerization
