**About the Role**
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based data pipelines. You'll work closely with our Data Science team to develop data sets and models that support business decision-making, and collaborate with our IT team to ensure seamless integration with our existing infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in helping us to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies
* Collaborate with Data Science team to develop data sets and models that support business decision-making
* Work with IT team to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools
* Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in a timely and efficient manner
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data engineering
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong expertise in Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Proficiency in Docker and containerization
* Experience with source control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
* Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
* Proficiency in cloud design and product offerings, ideally AWS
* Experience with automated workflow schedulers and data pipeline orchestration tools
* Strong understanding of data governance and data quality concepts
* Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
