**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain a robust, cloud-based data infrastructure that supports our Media business. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines that meet the evolving needs of our business.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and develop scalable, cloud-based data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan, and execute data pipeline projects
* Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, data set designs, and data visualization strategies
* Work with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Develop and deploy code using a source control tool like GitLab or GitHub
* Use Docker to containerize and deploy applications
* Collaborate with our Data Engineering team to design and implement data governance and quality control processes
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and reliability
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong experience with Python and SQL, with a focus on Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience with cloud-based data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Experience with containerization using Docker
* Experience with source control tools like GitLab or GitHub
* Strong understanding of data governance and quality control principles
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
* Experience with cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
* Experience with automated workflow and scheduler development
* Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
* Strong understanding of data security and compliance principles
