**About the Role**
As a Customer Technical Service Representative, you'll serve as the primary technical contact for arenaflex customers in the Pet Food division, providing process assistance, material support, and technical problem resolution to ensure efficient runability of our products in customer facilities. You'll build strong relationships with customers, sales teams, and manufacturing plants to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Act as liaison between arenaflex customers and manufacturing plants to resolve technical issues and improve product performance
* Provide process assistance and material support to customers, including machine parameters for product materials and troubleshooting guidance
* Respond to customer requests for problem resolution, analyzing materials and equipment to identify root causes
* Work with sales teams to respond to customer issues and recommend product options to meet customer needs
* Troubleshoot potential problems with customers and their employees, documenting issues and resolutions
* Request lab testing on samples to further identify material issues and test samples on arenaflex equipment to identify additional opportunities
* Assist in determining product specifications for customer needs and install, setup, and provide training on arenaflex packaging equipment
* Perform general preventative maintenance on arenaflex packaging equipment and audit, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed
* Travel up to 70% as needed to support customer sites and resolve technical issues
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in packaging, engineering, or a comparable field with 5-10 years of experience in flexible packaging production/maintenance or packaging machine production/maintenance
* Strong knowledge of the flexible packaging process from film production through packaging and shipping processes
* Experience in the flexible packaging industry, particularly in meat/cheese/pet food packaging, is strongly preferred
* Previous experience in manufacturing organizations is preferred
* Knowledge of printing and converting industry and equipment is preferred
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, including packaging machine and flexible film interaction and mechanical issues
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with report writing and Microsoft Office
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, sales teams, and manufacturing plants
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
