**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to drive sales growth. You'll learn about our products and services, and use your knowledge to recommend and close sales. Your role will involve working closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
* Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to drive sales growth
* Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
* Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards
* Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department and other departments
* Participate in sales promotions and initiatives to drive sales growth
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to build loyalty and drive repeat business
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant experience preferred
* 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 2+ years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment
* Experience working in a sales-driven environment with a focus on customer satisfaction
* Knowledge of products and services in the building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental industries
* Experience working with customers to identify and meet their needs
* Strong sales and negotiation skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to team goals and objectives
