You'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. You'll learn about our products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects. Your goal will be to greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, while also maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensuring a safe working and shopping environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance * Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects * Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department * Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe * Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely as not to endanger yourself, co-workers, vendors, or customers * Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments * Participate in sales promotions, events, and initiatives to drive sales growth and customer engagement **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred * 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues * Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly about our products and services * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash, operating a cash register, and processing transactions * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a sales or customer service role in a retail or related environment * Knowledge of our products and services, or a willingness to learn * Experience with sales promotions, events, and initiatives * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction * Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues **Skills and Competencies** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues * Excellent product knowledge and ability to learn quickly about our products and services * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash, operating a cash register, and processing transactions * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction * Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
