**Job Summary**
As an Experienced Customer Service/Sales Associate, you will be the face of arenaflex, providing fast, friendly service to customers while driving sales growth and achieving sales targets. You will be responsible for learning about products, recommending solutions to customers, and closing sales in a variety of departments, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. Your exceptional customer service skills, product knowledge, and sales acumen will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
* Learn about products using arenaflex tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project
* Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
* Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
* Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and achieve sales targets
* Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products, promotions, and services
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
* 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a sales or customer service role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Strong product knowledge and sales skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
* Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in a home improvement or retail environment
* Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
* Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
* Bilingual or multilingual skills
* Previous sales or customer service experience in a team environment
