**Job Summary**
We're seeking 16 Customer Service Trainees to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. As a Trainee, you'll participate in a hybrid training program that combines on-site and remote learning. The training schedule is as follows:
* On-site: Weeks 1, 2, 6, and 7
* Remote: Weeks 3, 4, 5, and 8
During your training, you'll work in a developing and learning capacity, performing typical assignments that include:
* Researching inquiries by accessing the claims processing system and other informational sources
* Responding to customer/group and provider questions through telephone contact and/or written communication (such as mail) using proper etiquette, grammar, punctuation, etc.
* Maintaining related departmental records and files
* Operating office equipment, including a personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, etc.
* Making corrections to claims and eligibility
* Entering new claims, eligibility, and subscriber information into the mainframe
* Reviewing subscriber's coverage to determine type and level of benefits
**Minimum Requirements**
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* One year of customer service experience in a business environment that requires the use of a computer program to assist the customer, preferably in a call center, and/or dental experience
* Successful completion of the customer service simulation test (minimum score of 62 out of a possible 100) (assessment waived if candidate previously passed test while at arenaflex or if previously held Customer Service Trainee, Customer Service Advisor, or Customer Service Associate position)
* Ability to work in a fully remote environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
* Previous experience in the dental industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
