**About the Role**
As a Customer Service Trainee, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. You will work closely with our experienced team members to develop your skills and knowledge, ensuring you are equipped to succeed in this dynamic role.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Research and respond to customer inquiries, accessing our claims processing system and other informational sources to provide accurate and timely solutions.
* Communicate effectively with customers, providers, and internal stakeholders through telephone contact and written correspondence, using proper etiquette, grammar, and punctuation.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, ensuring seamless data management and compliance.
* Operate office equipment, including personal computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines, with a high level of proficiency.
* Make corrections to claims and eligibility, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
* Enter new claims, eligibility, and subscriber information into our mainframe system, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
* Review subscriber coverage to determine type and level of benefits, providing clear and concise explanations.
**Minimum Requirements:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* One year of customer service experience in a business environment, preferably in a call center or dental setting, with a strong focus on computer program utilization.
* Successful completion of our customer service simulation test (minimum score of 62 out of 100). (Assessment waived for candidates who have previously passed the test while at arenaflex or who have held a Customer Service Trainee, Customer Service Advisor, or Customer Service Associate position.)
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including the first or second shift, with a minimum of 8:25 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. start times, Monday through Friday.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution.
* Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
