Our mission is to create a positive and engaging environment that inspires our customers to return again and again. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for: * Providing World-Class customer service and a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience for our customers * Representing careerzynith by working together with fellow employees to deliver an exceptional customer experience * Overseeing and directing the workflow of customer service employees * Operating a register as needed, accurately handling and securing all monies, funds, and other media as assigned * Facilitating an engaged environment within the self-checkout area * Assisting the Front End team in achieving all operations and sales objectives/goals for assigned areas * Operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment/machinery, tools, and workstations * Collaborating with management in decision-making, direction, and implementation of one or more areas to ensure operational and customer service goals are met * Providing technical support through basic problem-solving (e.g., reboots, paper and currency jams, product look up, EFT freezes) * Identifying potential theft and suspicious transactions at all checkouts (self-checkout, myExpress Checkout, etc.) * Engaging in and encouraging continuous improvement through ideas and innovation * Adhering to and enforcing all government employment and labor regulations, as well as all careerzynith policies and procedures * Adhering to and enforcing all government food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as all careerzynith policies and procedures * Adhering to and enforcing all government safety regulations, as well as all careerzynith policies and procedures * Performing myExpress Checkout bag checks and periodically monitoring myExpress Checkout transactions * Bagging groceries, retrieving carriages, returning back-shop, and other tasks as needed **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * Ability to represent careerzynith's Culture of Caring and The Pursuit of Excellence through the support of our Mission & Vision * A clean and professional appearance * A positive attitude and businesslike conduct * Ability to operate within careerzynith policies, procedures, and standards * Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store * Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize and follow through * Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills * Ability to learn and utilize computer applications * Must be 18 years of age **Preferred Qualifications** While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial: * Previous experience in customer service or retail environment * Knowledge of careerzynith's policies and procedures * Basic problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication and interpersonal skills **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess: * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Basic problem-solving skills * Ability to learn and utilize computer applications * Attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to prioritize and follow through * Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At careerzynith, we're committed to supporting our employees' career growth and development.
