**Job Summary**
We're seeking experienced customer service and sales assistants to join our team on a part-time/casual basis (19 hours per week or less). As a key member of our retail operations team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and supporting the overall success of our business. **Key Responsibilities**
* **Sales and Service**: Greet and welcome customers, demonstrating active selling techniques, providing product information and guidance, and ensuring a high-quality customer service experience.
* **Visual Merchandising**: Assist in maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, setting up seasonal promotions/visual displays, and regularly monitor assigned areas for product restocking and recovery.
* **Point of Sale Support**: Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute appropriate cash handling procedures.
* **Inventory & Order Fulfillment Support**: Help receive and process incoming merchandise, assist with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests, and possibly handle seasonal perishable goods.
* **Customer Care**: Support the digital and in-store shopping experience by assisting with responding to customer inquiries.

**Essential Qualifications**

* Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Prior retail sales experience.
* Familiarity with Cornell University's campus and community.
