As a member of our Payments and Digital Strategy crew at arenaflex Credit Union, you'll be responsible for processing various transactions, including checking processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. This role offers a unique blend of customer service, financial expertise, and technical skills, making it an ideal fit for individuals who enjoy working with numbers and interacting with customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Completing statistical access and balancing features
* Coordinating return objects with contributors, door vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
* Assisting various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing
* Working member cases/sports assigned
* Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
* Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, financial ruin, and payoff exams
* Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
* Logging, studying, and making important GL, account changes, and/or returns
* Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
* Completing daily balancing and department closing
* Obtaining information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
* Researching and affirming incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
* Communicating with the vendor to process budget transfers
* Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
* Depositing check returns, studying member re-exam on draft changes, processing member exams, affirming contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
* Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
**Essential and Preferred Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A high school degree or GED
* Intermediate Excel and Word experience
* Previous customer/member service experience
* Previous banking or Credit Union experience
* Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**
To excel in this role, you'll require:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
* Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs
* Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
* Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
* Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high volume pressure
* Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
* Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors
* Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
* Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for interest to detail
