**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Federal Student Aid Loan Servicing team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and chat, resolving basic and routine inquiries, and making outbound calls to support borrowers. **Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative on our Federal Student Aid Loan Servicing team, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and chat, resolving basic and routine inquiries
* Making outbound calls to support borrowers with Federal Student Aid Loan Servicing
* Utilizing available systems, knowledgebase, and standard technology to respond to inquiries and perform job duties
* Processing requests received via general correspondence and notating accounts regarding actions taken in response to those requests
* Maintaining regular use of the feedback tool to give and receive constructive feedback on call quality and department tasks
* Assisting with Credit Bureau Requests utilizing established processes and procedures
* Referencing escalated calls or inquiries to appropriate levels as needed

* Supporting Contact Center expectations as well as departmental and corporate policies and procedures
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* High School diploma or equivalent with 6 months of customer service experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations
* Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
* Basic math and PC skills, including MS Office applications
* Ability to organize simultaneous tasks and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to effectively read a prepared/written script out loud
* Must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check
* May be required to work scheduled holidays, overtime, and weekends
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
* Knowledge of federal student aid programs and regulations
* Experience with computerized systems, knowledgebase, and standard technology
* Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed

**Work Environment**
As a remote Customer Service Representative, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. You'll be required to attend 4 weeks of training, Monday - Friday, 9am-5:30pm ET, and may be required to work scheduled holidays, overtime, and weekends.
