**Job Summary:**
As a Customer Service and Sales Professional at arenaflex, you will be responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and personalized service to our customers. You will learn about our products and services, assess customer needs, and provide recommendations to drive sales growth. You will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to maintain a safe, clean, and shop-able environment, while ensuring compliance with all safety policies and standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
* Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to drive sales growth
* Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, while handling basics in adjacent departments
* Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring a clean, shop-able, and safe environment
* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments
* Participate in sales promotions, events, and initiatives to drive sales growth and customer engagement
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
**Essential Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
* 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth
* Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly about new products and services
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash, operating a cash register, and processing transactions
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* 2+ years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
* Experience working in a sales-driven environment, with a focus on driving sales growth and customer engagement
* Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service standards
* Experience working with a variety of customers, including residential and commercial customers
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and safely around the store
* Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems and other retail software
