**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Crisis Specialist to join our remote team, working a 3rd shift schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6pm-2:30am CST). As a Crisis Specialist, you will provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments, answer crisis contacts via the chat/text platform, and conduct follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide. You will also participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provides telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments for individuals experiencing emotional distress
* Answers crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs
* Conducts follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide
* Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation
* Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings
* Assists in administrative tasks as needed
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, or a related field
* Six months to one year of related crisis experience
* Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is also accepted
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
* Knowledge of suicide assessments and crisis intervention
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in a related field
* Experience working with diverse populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care and cultural competence
* Certification in crisis intervention, such as QPR or ASIST
