**Job Summary**
The Experienced Crisis Chat Text Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the 988 Crisis Chat Program, ensuring that all Crisis Chat Counselors receive the support and guidance they need to provide exceptional care to our clients. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, communication, and crisis intervention skills, as well as a deep understanding of mental health principles and practices.
**Responsibilities**
As a Crisis Chat Text Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
* Providing individual supervision to Crisis Chat Counselors, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need to provide exceptional care to our clients
* Conducting regular quality assurance reviews to ensure that our program meets the highest standards of quality and effectiveness
* Developing and implementing training programs for new Crisis Chat Counselors, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional care
* Collaborating with the Assistant Director of Crisis Services to discuss program operations, concerns, and potential improvements
* Responding to crisis chat/text visitors as needed to support Counselors on shift
* Ensuring that thorough documentation is completed for all crisis chat/text
* Ensuring that each Counselor completes 1.5 chats/texts per hour
* Ensuring that the program responds to 2,171 chats/texts per month
* Providing daily ongoing monitoring of chats and texts to ensure quality
* Conducting weekly individual supervision sessions with Counselors
* Completing weekly quality assurance reports with Counselors
* Completing performance evaluations and yearly reviews
* Providing training to new Crisis Chat Counselors
* Completing monthly Lifeline/Vibrant QA/QI reports
* Meets with Assistant Director of Crisis Services regularly to discuss program operations, concerns, and potential improvements
**Requirements**
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
* A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work preferred)
* At least 1 year of experience in mental health services, preferably in crisis intervention services, suicide prevention, and intervention
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to function successfully in an environment requiring immediate response to urgent situations
* Spontaneous supervision of staff in real-time
* Knowledge of and familiarity with local and statewide community resources
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Computer skills with various software and the internet
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a crisis intervention or mental health setting
* Familiarity with crisis chat/text services and software
* Certification in crisis intervention or mental health services
**Work Environment**
As a Crisis Chat Text Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be responsible for working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will also be required to work independently, as well as lead a team of professionals.
