**The Role**
As an arenaflex Chat-Based Youth Mental Health Coach, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to providing on-demand and weekly coaching to young people through our cutting-edge chat platform. You'll use your exceptional coaching skills, empathy, and awareness to support students from diverse and historically marginalized communities. Your role will involve:
* Providing on-demand and weekly coaching to young people through our chat platform
* Using empathy and awareness to support students from diverse and historically marginalized communities
* Following established protocols, especially during crisis-based chats, with support from licensed Coach Supervisors
* Continually learning and adapting to new online platforms and tools with ongoing training and support
**What We're Looking For**
We're seeking flexible, mission-driven individuals who are empathetic, care deeply about young people, and are tech-savvy, quick learners. Candidates must have experience in the mental health field, working with youth, or coaching. We're looking for those who are self-sufficient, can adapt to the dynamic nature of a remote startup, and have flexibility during school hours.
**New to Coaching?**
No problem! We offer the arenaflex Coach Certification Program, a comprehensive 24-hour training program that covers 5 modules over 6 weeks. You'll commit 4-5 hours per week from November to December 2024 to complete the program.
**Already Certified?**
If you've completed an accredited coaching program, you can fast-track your training by passing our assessments.
**Coaching Hours & Flexibility**
We adapt to the needs of the students we serve, which means that seasons, world events, school obligations, and the time of year can all influence the demand for coaching at any given time. We're seeking coaches to support students when and where they need it. This means sometimes you'll support students 1-3 hours a week and sometimes not at all. Coaching happens during school hours (8am-6pm EST / 5am-3pm PST).
**What You'll Need**
* Experience in mental health, youth work, or coaching
* Reliable laptop or computer (no tablets or cell phones) and internet with a minimum 50 mbps download speed
* A quiet, distraction-free workspace
* Must reside & be in the U.S. for the duration of your contract with arenaflex
