**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team on a contract-to-hire basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing various medical documents, extracting data, and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. You will work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion.
**A Day in the Role**
As a Healthcare Data Entry Specialist, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including:
* Processing various medical documents, such as Independent Medical Reviews
* Extracting data from documents and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word
* Working independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion
* Using critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information
* Providing customer service and client coordination over the phone
* Meeting metrics and quota-driven goals
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Reliable high-speed internet
* Your own computer or laptop (no Chromebooks)
* At least 1 year of remote work experience
* High School Diploma
* Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment
* Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred
**Schedule**
The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST.
