Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus Program
Position Summary
IGL Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Domestic Operations Manager to build, lead, and scale our Domestic Brokerage Division. This individual will be responsible for developing operational processes, recruiting and training team members, expanding carrier partnerships, and delivering best-in-class transportation solutions across North America.
The Domestic Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of domestic freight brokerage operations, including Full Truckload (FTL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Final Mile Delivery, and Cross-Border Transportation between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role will be instrumental in creating a high-performance operation that delivers superior customer service, strong carrier relationships, operational visibility, and profitable growth.
The successful candidate will manage their own division P&L while collaborating closely with Sales, International Operations, and Warehousing teams to provide seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions for IGL customers.
Key Responsibilities
Brokerage Division Development & Leadership
· Establish, implement, and manage the Domestic Brokerage Division within IGL Logistics.
· Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team located across all four U.S. time zones.
· Create standard operating procedures, workflows, and best practices that support scalable growth and operational excellence.
· Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Carrier Network Development
· Expand and strengthen IGL’s carrier network throughout North America.
· Develop strategic carrier partnerships that improve service levels, capacity availability, visibility, and pricing competitiveness.
· Negotiate rates and service agreements to maximize profitability while maintaining exceptional service standards.
· Monitor carrier performance and implement scorecards to ensure compliance with company expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with Sales teams to develop transportation solutions and support customer growth initiatives.
· Coordinate with International Operations to provide integrated domestic and global freight solutions.
· Work closely with Warehousing teams to optimize inventory flow, transportation planning, and customer service outcomes.
· Support strategic initiatives that enhance IGL’s position as a comprehensive supply chain solutions provider.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
· 5+ years of transportation brokerage or domestic logistics management experience.
· Proven experience managing FTL, LTL, Final Mile, and Cross-Border transportation operations.
· Demonstrated success building carrier networks and managing transportation providers.
· Strong understanding of freight pricing, margin management, and transportation economics.
· Experience managing remote teams and distributed operations.
· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
· Experience launching or scaling a brokerage division.
· Knowledge of TMS platforms, freight visibility tools, and carrier management systems.
· Existing carrier relationships throughout North America.
· Experience managing departmental P&L responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
