Reviews the paper record against the electronic document to verify image quality and identify missing documents. Verifies and validates image/document errors and makes necessary changes as needed. Performs near-time scanning of all active and discharged patient records on nursing units. Maintains productivity and quality levels in accordance with current standards. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Intermediate computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel [Required] • Ability to communicate verbally with all levels of associates, management, physicians, patients and their families, and other customers [Required] • Critical thinking and detailed work skills [Required] • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain focus [Required] • Ability to retain information and maintain a high level of accuracy [Required] • Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment [Required] • Proven record of providing excellent customer service & ability to contribute to team goals [Required] • Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials, including spelling and grammar [Required] • Maintains the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality [Required] • Ability to work independently in an onsite role. [Required] • Strong emphasis on organizational skills and strong attention to detail and ability to multitask [Required] • Knowledgeable of security and confidentiality requirements pertaining to protected health information [Required] Education: • High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Field of Study: • in technical or military experience Work Experience: • 1+ college in business, healthcare, or related field, with some emphasis in typing, filing, medical terminology and/or previous experience in him or general office procedures.
