About the role
We are seeking a Mid-level DevOps Engineer. Working within the same cloud-native hybrid cloud engineering platform (Azure and on-premises), you will contribute hands-on to CI/CD automation, Kubernetes operations, GitOps deployments and microservices management across approximately 20 product teams and 150 developers.
What you'll be doing
Packaging and deploying microservices on Kubernetes using Helm, managing chart structure, templates, values, hooks and upgrades
Implementing GitOps deployments using Argo CD and Helm, including app-of-apps patterns, multi-cluster/environment setups and sync waves
Standardising deployments in Kubernetes across namespaces, RBAC, NetworkPolicies, resource requests/limits, PDB and HPA
Establishing release and rollout strategies including Canary/Blue-Green, rollback, versioning and changelog management
Securing deployments across the supply chain, including image scanning, signing/provenance and policy-as-code using OPA/Gatekeeper or Kyverno
Troubleshooting deployments including Helm templating/rendering, Kubernetes events/logs and probe debugging
Monitoring platform health using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and OpenTelemetry
Contributing to CI pipeline development and CD automation
Supporting microservices operations with Kafka, CEPH and PostgreSQL
Participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to knowledge transfer within the team
Requirements
What you'll need
Minimum 3 years of DevOps Engineering experience
Strong CI pipeline knowledge
Extensive CD experience with ArgoCD and Helm including Helm chart support
Strong experience with microservices and Kubernetes
Strong experience with Kafka, CEPH and PostgreSQL
Strong experience with monitoring tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and OpenTelemetry
Proficiency in Helm best practices: idempotent deployments, clean value schema, secrets handling and chart testing/linting
In-depth Kubernetes knowledge for production deployments including RBAC, Ingress/Gateway, Service Discovery, Storage, Pod Security/Policies and Quotas/LimitRanges
Fluent English (C1 minimum)
Desirable
Experience with agile methods including Scrum and Kanban
DevSecOps fundamentals
Experience in enterprise environments
Experience with Kustomize and Helm in combination
Experience with Helmfile or similar tools for orchestrating multiple releases
Knowledge of service mesh such as Cilium and its deployment patterns
Experience with multi-tenancy in Kubernetes
Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or OpenTofu
Expert experience with GitOps in complex hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios
