Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $85,000 to $115,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
• Act as the main contact for financial activities following the close of development projects
• Manage monthly construction loan draws for both new builds and rehabilitation efforts
• Monitor budgets and reallocate costs as needed to reflect project progress
• Coordinate invoice processing and ensure timely disbursement of funds to vendors and partners
• Track key project data including milestones, equity installments, and compliance deadlines
Requirements:
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Strong organizational skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
• Skilled in analyzing financial data and identifying practical solutions
• Effective communicator who collaborates well across departments and with external partners
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
• At least 2+ years of experience in construction accounting and real estate finance
• Familiarity with low-income housing tax credit programs and related compliance
• Proficient in Excel and experienced with financial modeling and budget tracking
• Knowledge of real estate software platforms and HUD loan programs is a plus
