Data Engineer III – Business Objects BI Reporting

Job Description: • Develop basic to complex Business Objects BI Reports & designs to maintain new and existing technology systems following company standards • Accountable to develop and deliver technical documentation • Undergo peer code and design reviews to ensure stable and high-quality production-ready code • Build and maintain data solutions that meet or exceed industry regulatory requirements • Foster and maintain high collaboration with team members, other technical colleagues, and business partners from across the organization • Ensure compliance with established SDLC frameworks, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, release management, and deployment • Ability to lead a team with meeting project commitments, such as project goals, objectives, and corresponding delivery dates • Ability to provide engineering leadership and mentorship to junior level engineers Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Seven years professional work experience in SQL based data development required • Teradata database is preferred • Two years of experience performing as a subject matter expert focused on Business Objects Reporting • Proficiency of computer engineering fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms • Ability to modify existing SQL code and write complex scripts according to standards and best practices • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Azure Data Lake is a plus • Advanced understanding of data engineering concepts with knowledge in two or more modern programming languages and proficient with SQL • Advanced knowledge of data modeling Benefits: • Competitive wages • Medical with telemedicine • Dental and Vision • Basic and Optional Life Insurance • Paid Time Off (PTO) • Maternity, Parental, Family Care Community Volunteer Time Off • 12 Paid Holidays • Company Paid Disability Insurance • 401k (with employer match) • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) with company provided contributions • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) • Supplemental Insurance • Mental Health and Well-being: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Tuition Reimbursement • Wellness program
