Location: Zug, Switzerland (with flexibility for remote collaboration) About Creativ Medium : Creativ Medium delivers work across animation, motion design, visual storytelling, branding, identity design, UI/UX design, interactive systems, and real-time content development. The studio also explores creative coding, generative design, procedural systems, immersive experiences, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality. As part of its continued growth, Creativ Medium is establishing a game design and development studio in Zug, Switzerland, focused on the creation of a high-quality 2.5D mobile game. The studio brings together expertise across game design, motion design, graphic design, typography, interactive design, and software development to produce innovative and immersive digital experiences. Role Overview The Creative Developer operates at the intersection of design, animation, and software engineering. The role involves the conception and implementation of interactive web experiences, experimental interfaces, and web-based games. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of visually compelling and technically robust digital products, translating creative concepts into real-time interactive systems. Technologies and Technical Environment The role engages with a broad ecosystem of modern web and creative technologies. Candidates are expected to demonstrate familiarity and practical experience with several of the following areas : • In the domain of animation and interaction, experience with GSAP and related libraries such as Anime.js, Framer Motion, and Lottie is relevant for producing refined motion systems. • For real-time graphics and rendering, the position involves working with WebGL and frameworks such as Three.js, Babylon.js, and PlayCanvas, as well as shader development using Shaders (GLSL). Familiarity with emerging standards such as WebGPU is advantageous. • Within creative coding, knowledge of frameworks such as p5.js, Processing, and OpenFrameworks supports the development of generative and experimental systems. • In the context of web-based game development, experience with engines and frameworks such as Phaser, Unity WebGL, and Godot is relevant. • The frontend environment includes modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React and associated tooling such as Next.js, React Three Fiber, and Drei. • The role may also involve the use of experimental and browser-native APIs, including Web Audio API, WebXR, Canvas API, and SVG, depending on project requirements. Key Responsibilities The Creative Developer is responsible for designing and implementing interactive digital experiences and web-based applications. This includes developing high-performance user interfaces, creating animation systems, and building real-time visual and interactive components. The role requires close collaboration with designers, artists, and engineers to ensure alignment between creative direction and technical execution. It also involves prototyping new concepts and exploring emerging technologies to support innovation within the studio. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong balance between creative thinking and technical proficiency. They have experience in modern web development, with a particular emphasis on interactive and visually driven work. A clear interest in motion, design systems, and real-time graphics is expected, along with the ability to translate abstract concepts into functional and engaging digital experiences.
