Job description: Construction Project Manager - Federal ProjectsOur client is a Top ENR general contractor specializing in federal projects, including government buildings, military facilities, and infrastructure with edication to delivering high-quality projects with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and efficiency. They are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in managing federal construction projects to join their team.Job Summary:The Construction Project Manager – Federal Projects will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing construction projects in compliance with federal regulations and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience managing government contracts, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.This position is located in Virginia with travel to the site required. Permanent relocation is not a requirement.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of large scale federal construction projects from initiation to completion.Ensure compliance with federal regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements.Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans.Coordinate with government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.Prepare and submit reports, including RFI’s, change orders, and progress updates.Monitor project performance and implement necessary adjustments to stay on schedule and within budget.Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to project specifications.Conduct site visits and inspections to verify quality and safety compliance.Resolve project issues and mitigate risks effectively.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.5+ years of experience managing federal construction projects.Knowledge of federal contracting procedures.Experience with government agencies such as the DoD, GSA, VA, NAVFAC, or USACE.Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations.Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar).Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required. * This position is located in Virginia with travel to the site required.
