Construction Business Development Manager
(Data Centers)
Remote Position
Target salary range: $170,000 - $200,000.00
Drive growth of the data center construction business by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives in partnership with senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Execute annual business development strategy aligned with market intelligence and company goals
• Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with new clients and key decision-makers
• Research and evaluate new markets, partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisition opportunities
• Lead and support client meetings, presentations, and relationship management activities
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports that clearly communicate value propositions
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in CRM (Salesforce)
• Support risk review processes (PIRA/TERA) for new opportunities
• Analyze market data and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions
• Collaborate with Business Development Director on sales strategy, territory planning, and win/loss analysis
• Follow structured sales processes, including prospect follow-up and objection handling to close deals
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
• Partner with broader business units on cross-functional opportunities
• Support corporate planning and additional business development initiatives as needed
• Promote and uphold safety standards and company core values
Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• 5+ years of business development, sales, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in construction, engineering, or technical services industries
• Background in data center design or construction business development
• Proven success achieving sales targets / revenue growth
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce)
• Knowledge of market analysis, competitive positioning, and strategic planning
• Experience supporting partnerships, joint ventures, or M&A initiatives
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities, pipelines, and priorities
• Willingness to travel and attend client meetings and industry events
