NCMMA (National Collegiate Mixed Martial Arts) is a collegiate sports league dedicated to expanding the reach of mixed martial arts across universities in the United States. Our mission is to provide university MMA clubs with a structured, safe, and regulated environment for sanctioned intercollegiate competition. In addition to organizing collegiate events, NCMMA has developed a digital platform (FightNexus) designed to connect amateur fighters with promoters and event organizers.
Role Description
We are seeking a Startup Lead Brand Ambassador/Content Creator and Marketing Executive to lead marketing efforts for both our league and platform build the leading national collegiate mixed martial arts platform. This is a foundational leadership opportunity for a creator-marketer who can serve as both the face of our brand and the operator behind its content, audience growth, and revenue-generating marketing strategy. The ideal candidate has already built a meaningful social media presence, understands how to create and scale high-performing short-form content, and has a proven track record of driving engagement, audience growth, brand visibility, and monetization through digital platforms.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the public-facing brand ambassador for NCMMA
• Develop and execute a content strategy focused on short-form video, audience growth, engagement, and conversion
• Film, edit, and publish high-quality short-form content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness and event promotion
• Create compelling visual and narrative content that strengthens brand storytelling and audience connection
• Collaborate on broader go-to-market strategy, sponsorship visibility, promotional initiatives, and long-term brand positioning
• Oversee visual quality and consistency across photo, video, and branded content assets
Qualifications
• Large social media following (at least 20,000 followers on Instagram or TikTok)
• Extensive experience filming, editing, and posting short-form content
• Extensive experience generating engagement and revenue through social media
• Proven ability to devise and execute marketing campaigns that drive measurable growth
• Strong understanding of social media growth strategy, audience development, content positioning, and platform optimization
• Comfortable being on camera and representing the brand publicly
• Strong creative instincts paired with an analytical mindset for measuring content and campaign performance
• Ability to operate independently, move quickly, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced startup environment
• (Preferred) Proficiency with content creation and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent platforms
• (Preferred) Familiarity with SEO, website content strategy, and digital brand building
Compensation
This is an opportunity to join the founding team of a high-potential startup that has already demonstrated significant traction and achieved key early milestones. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to earn stock options/equity based on the successful execution of marketing initiatives and the achievement of clearly measurable performance outcomes. Further details, including structure, milestones, and terms, will be negotiated.
