About the position
Provide personalized care and support to clients in the comfort of their homes, ensuring a high-quality, compassionate service that meets the individual needs of each client. Work closely with the client and their family to promote independence, safety, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene, while encouraging their independence.
• Plan and prepare healthy, nutritious meals tailored to the client's preferences and dietary needs. Assist with feeding if necessary.
• Light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment.
• Provide meaningful social interaction, engaging conversation, and emotional support to improve the client’s overall quality of life.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition, alerting the supervisor or healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided, including dates and times, ensuring clear communication with the healthcare team.
• Under the guidance of a physician or healthcare professional, assist with more specialized tasks as outlined by the Colorado Nurse Aide Practice Act.
• Assist with a range of tasks as needed, ensuring the well-being and comfort of the client.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience working in an adult day, healthcare or home care environment that serves senior adults.
• Colorado State Certified Nursing Assistant License, in standing.
• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license in good standing.
• Must possess current vehicle registration and proof of insurance coverage and reliable automobile.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
